General Knowledge

General knowledge is the classic pub-quiz round: no theme, no warning, and a question about Roman emperors followed by one about breakfast cereal. These quizzes are built the same way. Each one mixes science, history, geography, language, sport and popular culture so that nobody gets to coast on a specialist subject.

They are a good place to start if you are new to the site, and a fair test if you think you know a bit of everything. Most people score somewhere in the middle. The last two questions in every round are there to sort out who really deserves the bragging rights.
